MEET KASEY | Graphic designer, artist, an advocate behind Kasey Hodges Designs

We've partnered with Advacado Productions, to bring you this interview with Northwest Arkansas Graphic designer and advocate, Kasey Hodges!

Kasey Hodges graduated from Hendrix College with a BA in Theatre Arts in 2014 and received a graphic design certification from New Design School (now known as Pixel) in 2019. Kasey has a physical disability called cerebral palsy. CP affects her speech, ability to walk, and fine motor skills. Especially being non-verbal, she sees design as a powerful method of expression and a way for her to be a part of a community. The process and final result of a design project makes her feel empowered and joyful that she can help people fulfill their dreams.

She has had her work displayed in Art Ventures and on the wall at Arkansas Support Network, and has been featured in The Idle Class magazine. She is also a self-advocate, which includes being on the Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities. Kasey never allows herself to make any excuses when it comes to fulfilling her dreams. She pushes herself as hard as she can or even harder, and she knows that by doing so, she will help others to see that little to nothing is impossible! One of her famous lines is, “Yes, I Can!” On a fun note, she has a wide variety of interests which include fashion, art, music, reading, games… the list can go on. There is always something to talk about when you’re with Kasey, and the possibilities of what you can achieve are limitless when you are with her.
